communicate....

Youre nothing just because you are loved.
A pat on the back never paid any bills.
Affirmation fills no void.
Youre nobody til somebody hates you.
Hate is an emotion that requires a greater amount of energy.
Youre nothing until you are the object of someones disturbance.
You can only disturb someone that actually cares about you.
Abuse takes on many forms.
You dont have to take it unless you really care.
I dont care.

onto some normal stuff...

Its a nightmare come true. Bucky likes Ludacris and Ja Rule!! Nah, Im just glad he has a love for music. And hey, if I put on Carly Simons Its coming around again he and I still sing together. Not that Im a huge Carly fan, its just a thing. That and Simon & Garfunkels Cecilia or The Knacks My Sharona. I grew up on that stuff so I gotta subject Bucky to it, plus I always said Id show my child a wide range of music.
Recently he told me one afternoon while cruising in the Prelude,

Hey Mommy how do you know all of the words to every song, no matter what comes on the radio?

I dont know, I just do.I guess years of listening to music.

Will I learn all of those too if I listen all the time?

Yes bud Im sure you will.

..pause

I hope I dont have to wait til Im old to know all the words.

~~~~~~~~~~
This brings back this one really cool memory. Me and my sister wearing Holly Hobbie jammies our long hair still wet singing into our snoopy hairbrushes.
Knock 3 times on the ceiling if you waaant metwice on the pipes if you aint gonna show.oh my sweet thing.
I wonder if someday Buckys gonna remember singing in the car with Mom and smile. I mean I even sing Eminem with him! (and Moby you can get stomped by Obie, you 36 year old bald headed fag blow me You don't know me, you're too old let go its over, nobody listens to techno/ Now lets go, give me the signal I'll be there with a whole list full of new insults/ I've been dope, suspenseful with a pencil ever since Prince turned himself into a symbol/) Its nice to think that he might. Perhaps after the horror of the teenage years that will shortly be upon me. But man Im way ahead of myself
Yeah, I let my 9 year old listen to Eminem. I am all for freedom of speech. My son knows that bad words exist. When we sang the part about Moby, Bucky told me heyy thats not a nice thing to say, I would like Eminem more if he quit saying mean stuff about other people. So I know hes learning to decipher right from wrong. A kid cant do that if you totally insulate them from everything bad. Of course, Id never sit him down in front of a porno or something crazybut Life is life. Some parts of it just suck. I told him Eminem is exercising his right to freedom of speech.
I think Bucky took offense to that stuff about Moby, cause we have that CD too, and he said, Heyyy..I like that bald dude!
I recall when I was his age my friends parents wouldnt let her watch Threes Company because it was about a guy living with 2 girls. She got pregnant at age 16 and was on crack by age 17, last I heard her parents were raising her child. Go figure Maybe it was John Ritter withdrawal symptoms.
I dont want to insulate, Id rather educate and communicate.
note: Mad got his clockwork orange book so I plan to start reading it tonight. So were at the starting gateand were off. ;-)
and since words are not owned according to NO one.
Making love in the afternoon with Cecilia
Up in my bedroom (making love)
I got up to wash my face
When I come back to bed
Someone's taken my place
-Simon and Garfunkel
Ooo my little pretty one, pretty one
when you gonna give me some time Sharona
Will you make my motor run, motor run,
honey coming off of the line Sharona
Never gonna stop give it up such a dirty mind
Always get it up from the touch of the younger kind
My my my my my my Sharona
- The Knack
Oh my darlin' knock three times on the ceiling if you want me
Hmm, twice on the pipe if the answer is no
Woah my sweetness (knock knock knock) means you'll meet me in the hallway
Woah, twice on the pipe (clang clang) means you ain't gonna show.
- Tony Orlando
Baby sneezes
Mummy pleases
Daddy breezes in
So good on paper
So romantic
But so bewildering
I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
It's coming around again
So don't mind if I fall apart
there's more room in a broken heart
You pay the grocer
Fix the toaster
Then you break a window
burn the Souffl
Scream the lullaby
I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
It's coming around again
So don't mind if I fall apart
there's more room in a broken heart
And I believe in love
But what else can I do
I'm so in love with you
I know nothing stays the same
But if you're willing to play the game
It's coming around again
The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again
I believe in love
And who knows where or when
Bit its comin around again
I know nothin stays the same
But if youre willing to play the game
Its comin around again
-Carly Simon
