death would be a wish if i were alive in love - poem

Monday, Sept. 23, 2002
omg i wrote this poem last night...sent it to a friend...he read it to me tonight...read it out loud...its a hard poem to read out loud...and he did it for me

death would be a wish if I were alive in love

Before the traffic of human lives made headlines
There most likely was
A man who told a lie

Prior to the onslaught of typed out honesty
The heart embraced with desperation did document
Keeping unto its knowing fact when it did cry

In the midst of every morning dawn
The past never loses or abandons its way
It is the here and now and with that the pain does not stray

Try and tie newspaper reminders around your every limb
To remember that you were wronged yet fought
And this will not soon find its way to overcome lies sin

So when asked upon a horizon line to walk a wire tight
Recall that the gray area is lost along the nightmares of day
Unless your words are spoken into the clearest light

A highway line is doubled but narrow in direction
Reality, it is never to be troubled by far
Closer to be cleared by truth, a lies only left confession

Before the traffic of human lives made headlines
There most likely was
A love strangled by a lie
