If I invited
livingwreck
over for dinner heres part of what Id make for him. Yeah I can cook! Imagine that. Strawberry Spaghetti
1 pint fresh strawberries
1/2 lb spaghetti
1/4 cup grated pecorino or Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons of butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
mint sprigs for garnish
Puree the strawberries in a blender and then strain to remove seeds. Cook spaghetti per package directions. Heat the butter and cream in a small saucepan. Move to serving bowl, cover with strawberries and then the butter sauce. Serve. Yummy!
and of course in the morning Id make breakfastteehee
French toast baked in Honey Pecan Sauce
4 eggs beaten
3/4 cup half and half
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
4 thick slices French Bread
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup maple sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Combine eggs, half and half, brown sugar and vanilla in small bowl.
Place bread in the pan and top with other half of egg mixture.
Refrigerate covered overnight.
In the morning melt the butter in a 9 X13 baking dish and stir in brown sugar, honey, maple syrup and pecans.
Add the soaked bread slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until puffy and brown. Serve immediately.
For a nice added touch you can make some Honey Butter for on top. Honey Butter is easy to make. Take a stick of butter and add 2/3 cups of honey and 1/3 cup of light brown sugar. Mix with electric mixer and store in container with a lid in the fridge. You can keep this for quite awhile and make it ahead of time. Great on toast too.
