the pea (poem)

Tuesday, Apr. 30, 2002
princess bed
sags the embrace of the wall
how life got so
just when it smelled of heat
it was left
just a scatter rug
that crept too far
beneath the metal garage door
limbs fling above a lonely smile
tears write everything
against the gingham wall
