a loss

Wednesday, Dec. 06, 2006
"Rescue workers had located Kim some time before they announced that they had reached his body at 12:03 p.m. PT at a drainage area called Big Windy Creek, searchers told NBC News. They even made direct contact with him and tried to lower a medic to treat him, they said, but it was not immediately clear whether they were blocked by the conditions or were simply too late."article

conditions or too late..? The haunting thoughts that will forever remain. I am hopeful that the family will be given the information that I would wish to have. The answers to questions I would need closure for.

This event simply makes me feel that there are amazing people of this world. The type of man that would seek resolution and assistance for his family despite the odds and personal danger. A hero. There are no other words to describe that, but at times like this we grasp for even one word that will salve the pain for those so very affected by such an untimely loss. My thoughts will long stay with this family.

The only thing anyone can take from such a tragedy is that we must love harder, hold those dear to us tigher and appreciate every moment, it is a gift. James Kim was an amazing man.
